We are currently seeking a Cardiac/vascular Sonographer to join our team of highly qualified professionals.
Founded in 1993, Central Coast Cardiology (CCC) is a regional referral center in the heart of Monterey County and offers the most comprehensive cardiac care in the Monterey County and surrounding areas.
Required Certifications: Basic Life support (CPR) certification.
Skill Requirements: • A 4 year degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of techniques and advances in the field of echocardiography and vascular ultrasound. • Registered or registry eligible as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and a second registry as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred. • Knowledge of current accepted Echocardiography principles, practices, and techniques, including cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. • Knowledge of EKG and basic cardiac Arrhythmias. • Performs all echocardiographic tests, including but not limited to, stress echos, transthoracic echos, treadmill tests, carotid ultrasounds and abdominal aortic ultrasounds. Instructs patient on the procedure; obtains relevant information from patients.
Experience: One year experience performing echocardiography, which includes both transthoracic echo and stress echo and experience performing carotid and abdominal aorta ultrasounds.
Work Conditions: Patient care environment and exposure to various patient elements.
• Moderate walking and standing, lifting and positioning of patients in difficult work positions, pushing of moderately heavy equipment. Concentrated attention required during testing.
Payrate: BOE
